Global Bhutanese Organization-GBO is a collective organization of Bhutanese communities in different countries globally. It is formed by Bhutanese resettled in several countries with an idea to serve needy people based on the urgency of their situation. It is currently active in nine countries, viz: Australia, Canada, Denmark, Nepal, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, the United Kingdom, and the United States. GBO is registered under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code of the United States and Public Charity Status IRC section 509 (A) (2). GBO will remain likewise as a non-profit in each country of operation under the same principle, working independently at their own convenience.
